Dirty Laundry: The art of the stain in modern Tshirt design

Posted on | August 17, 2008 | No Comments

So, here’s a rather strange one. I got an email from the Nuuanu Gallery in Honolulu about a new exhibition that they’re hosting called Dirty Laundry. The basic concept is that they want designers to stain tshirts with a medium of their choice – grass, ink, wine, lipstick etc – and then design custom artwork that uses the stain as an integral design element.

They’ve gathered together a great roster of artists for the show including Mike Perry, Damien Correll, Frank Chimero, Kris Chau, & Tim Gough to name a few…

The tshirts themselves are going to be online from the end of August, so check back then – but in the meantime, check out the site here
