markj | July 7, 2008 | 10:54 pm

Hailing out of New York, legendary graf artist Daze, is known for his powerful paintings and murals. As one of the the old skool writers he has mastered the entire movement. For his latest project, Daze and Stussy team up on tee coming in three different colorways. Combined with a nice arrays of colors and style, the featured graphic is a case of controled chaos. Now available at Stussy Direct.

Bad Brains x Supreme

markj | May 6, 2008 | 9:27 pm

Bad Brains is an American Hardcore punk band formed in Washington, D.C. in 1977. Highly regarded as being among the pioneers of hardcore punk, though Bad Brains themselves have objected to the term “hardcore” to describe their music.
Bad Brains has had a major influence on skate culture, therefore it was only natural for Supreme to join the band to produce a small capsule collection. Supreme have released a Vans Sk-8 HI in three colorways, harrington jacket, and two t-shirts.

Big thanks to Marcus for letting me take the shot!

Before we’ve shown you the “Whatever It Takes” tee designed by Eric Elms for Stussy, now we’re showing the two other t-shirts from the collaboration. Eric Elms is an influential artist who has worked with giants such as Nike, Supreme, and Obey. The two shirts are called “Built to Destroy” and “Eat the Rich”. Both shirts use clever graphics to make up words that will definitely make a strong statement. All 3 shirts available at Stussy Direct.

Fuct X Aria Giovanni

markj | April 20, 2008 | 8:26 pm

An excellent back/side shot of Aria Giovanni by Dave Naz for his book “Panties”. Erik Brunetti is no stranger to controversy and adds an Italian touch whenever he can, in this case and Italian Sex Godess for Fuct’s latest photo series. Stay posted for more skin.

How 2 Tshirts

markj | April 6, 2008 | 9:31 pm

How 2 is a boutique tshirt brand hailing from none other but the homeland, UK. They specialise in creating tshirts showing/telling people how to do just about anything. Yes, some are a little tongue in cheek, such as “How 2 Defy Gravity” but they’re all fun, and printing the instructions of the said “How to” inside the tshirt below the collar is a great little touch, adding a bit of special to that tshirt purchase.

The tees are screenprinted on to 100% cotton tshirts which have a lovely soft feel and are reasonably priced at £25 a pop! Check out the range in the How 2 shop

Print Liberation

markj | March 24, 2008 | 6:55 pm

Got an email from Print Liberation today, suggesting I take a look at their store and check out what they have to offer - and i’m pleased with what I came across

type.jpg

“Philadelphia-based design studio Print Liberation carries a line of tees, prints, and accessories that will make any font nerd swoon.”

obama_gateway-1.jpg

Founded in 1999, Print Liberation is a full-service Philadelphia-based creative visual agency and the collective endeavor of three artists who share a passion for print, design, and culture.

The Print Liberation team has done it all. We have designed for small, mid-sized and large clients and created logos, posters and full print campaigns for sneakers, car shares, museums and retail spaces. We have managed photo shoots for major magazines, started our own clothing company (Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction; founded a gallery (Black Floor/Copy); authored a book on screenprinting (due out in June of 2008) and finally, quit our jobs at large advertising agencies, so that we can do what we do best - work directly with our customers to create effective design for your premium brand/creative business that reflects our our knowledge of contemporary art, culture and commerce.

Check out more at their store
